Homemade Play Dough

Here is a neat and inexpensive way to encourage a toddlers creativity! Make your own play dough. What you need for this is:

  • 2 cups salt
  • 2 cups warm water
  • Optional food coloring to the warm water to color dough
  • 5 cups flour

Mix the salt, flour, and warm water together. Add more water if it’s too dry and stir well. Take the play dough out of the bowl and start to knead it until it is smooth. Now its ready to play with! If you keep it in the refrigerator after you are done playing with it, it doesn't dry out as quickly.
